Rare Jethro Tull "Benefit" German Import ISLAND 6339 009, ILPS 1923, gatefold with original Giant Poster! Recording at Morgan Studio, London.
Benefit is the third album by Jethro Tull. It was the first album to include pianist and organist John Evan (although he was not yet considered a regular member of the group), and the last to include bass guitarist Glenn Cornick. It reached #3 in the UK album charts.
The album has more hard rock than its predecessor, Stand Up. Several of the tracks make greater use of tape-manipulation techniques than the groups's earlier recordings. There is, for example, backward flute on "With You There To Help Me" and backward piano and sped up guitar on "Play In Time". There are more instances of obvious overdubbing.
Vinyl and poster are in mint condition. Sleeve in Mint/Good condition with minor bend marks to top from prior handling, hardly noticeable, see pics.
