Up for grabs here is a very nice & extremely rare first CBS UK 1963 edition of Bob Dylan's seminal classic Freewheelin'. The matrices are 62193-4A-1/62193-4B-1 indicating it is one of the very earliest pressings.Not only that,but both the vinyl & sleeve are in pretty fantastic condition for a 51 (!!) years of age lp.The flipback sleeve shows minimal wear.The front laminated sleeve is lovely,still shiny and shows only the faintest of wear/ringwear when turned in to the light.The rear has only some very slight ringwear in the top left hand corner and some minor aging & discolouration in the same section.Please see photos for any more detail..i'm sure you'll agree it is in fantastic condition.The heavy vinyl,has the very early 'textured' orange label with the CBS logo in the centre,and 33 printed on the left hand side.The vinyl has a couple of slight scuffs/marks,some surface hairlines,but played beautifully when i tested it on my Dual CS505-3 turntable just now.There were no issues of any importance to report that would interfere with the listeners enjoyment of Bob's classic breakthrough lp whatsoever.A few very soft ticks,and some background 'static' mostly between tracks,are the only things i can say.As i said though definately nothing to spoil the listeners enjoyment whatsoever.A lot of copies of acoustic led 1960s folk lps i've heard have sadly been 'played to death' and ruined by crackle & pops,but i can assure anyone who bids for this will not be disappointed in any way way with what they hear.I think some of the afore-mentioned background static on playback,could be made to sound even better with a clean,using your preferred method.However,i'll leave that up to the individual.It plays great to my ears as it is,but we are all individuals thankfully lol.As always,any questions about the item are more than welcome.I post anywhere Worldwide.Thank you for looking in,and happy bidding :)
