RICCARDO COCCIANTE

“BELLA SIN ALMA”

(Bella Senz’anima)

(ANIMA)

MEGARARE original RCA Victor Records very first STEREO press released in Chile in 1976 by RCA Victor Records, made and distributed by Industria De Radio Y Televisión S.A. (IRT Records), licensed from Ed. RCA/Delta Italiana, with orange RCA Victor Records labels, catalog number TPL1-1060, with hand etched matrix numbers TPL-1-1060-A EB-CD in Side 1 and TPL1-1060-B EB-CD in Side 2. It’s interesting to notice that in the deadwax of both sides it’s written the date of pressing, “9-3-76” (March 9th of 1976) in Side 1, and “1-4-76” (April 1st of 1976) in Side 2. WOW!!! This is one of the few cases we know in which the date of pressing of both sides are different and with almost 1 month of difference!!! Yes Sirs, ANOTHER GREAT FIND from Chile!!!

“ANIMA” was originally released in 1974 but we had to wait until 1976 to see this great album released here in Chile, after the success of Riccardo Cocciante with the Spanish version of the first song of this album, “Bella Senz’anima” (Bella Sin Alma), and like in so many cases of the period we got it with an UNIQUE COVER!!! Cover is made of an only piece of thin cardboard folded in the middle, so 3 sides are open, with sheets of paper as front and back covers attached to the cardboard, glued only in the mouth edge, and kept together for an outer plastic bag. And in this case it’s not only an UNIQUE COVER, we also got an UNIQUE PICTURE SLEEVE!!! In Chile front cover has the album title in Spanish only, “BELLA SIN ALMA”, with the same title repeated with orange lettering. In back cover the artwork is the same with the tracklist boxed in the centre and written only in Spanish, translated to Italian. In labels the album title is only in Spanish and the tracklist in Spanish, translated to Italian, with full credits for songwriters and arrangements. WOW!!! It’s important to say that “BELLA SIN ALMA” is the original “ANIMA” in Italian language!!! And see both back cover and label, the song “Senz’anima”, the major hit of this album, is misspelled “ZENZ’ANIMA”!!! INCREDIBLE ERROR!!! Yes Sirs, INCREDIBLE FIND AGAIN!!!

The cover was already described and it’s in EX+ or NM- condition for both sides, clean, complete, no marks or names written, no ring marks, no blemishes, only minimal wear at the mouth edge and corners. The record is in strong EX- or EX condition, glossy and clean, no scratches, only minimal faint scuffs and hairlines, which don’t affect play. Labels are in NM- or NM condition both sides, clear and clean, with no marks or writings, only with minimal spindle wear. The sound is in great EX or EX+ condition both sides, loud, clear and clean, with no background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), only minimal occasional crackles and some light pops here and there, which don’t cause any distraction from the great sound this album keeps from the beginning to the end. I’d recommend a professional vacuum cleaning because sure the faint pops and crackles could be effect of some particles of dust that I’ve not could remove. Overall, this is a great record with a glossy look and great sound quality after almost 46 years, with no distortions, repetitions or skips!!! And keep in mind this album has an UNIQUE COVER, UNIQUE PICTURE SLEEVE, UNIQUE TITLE and UNIQUE ERROR!!! WOW!!! Click on the pictures to enlarge and see the cover and labels in detail.

Bid with confidence and don’t wait until the last second because you could lose the chance to get a real collectable record from Chile (South America) in superb condition like this copy is. You know South American records aren’t easy to get in good conditions, so HAPPY BIDDING and don’t let this record to go away… you could never see a so good copy of this record again… if you are lucky enough to see even another copy again…

Thanks for watching and bidding, good luck and best regards from Chile

We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

PAYMENT

PayPal (send me a message if you offer some other way to pay that we can accept)

Payment must be received within the first 7 seven days after the auction is ended

If you pay via PayPal and PayPal holds the money (with status “Completed – Funds Not Yet Available” in my PayPal account), I will consider the items paid when funds are available in my PayPal account (this could happen after 21 days buyer paid in accord to PayPal policies). If you don’t want to take the risk to have to wait those 21 days please wait for my invoice and instructions.

SHIPPING (Packing and Postage)

We have an unique value worldwide:

GBP15 for weight until 1kg (usually 1 or 2 records 12" depending of thickness of the vinyl)

GBP25 for weight 1-2kg (usually 3-5 records 12")

GBP7 for one 7” record

All records will be packed outside of the sleeve to avoid damages in the cover and all records will be sent with tracking number via Small Packet or Parcel Post services.

In the case PayPal informs me the funds are “PENDING” in my account, the record will be shipped immediately after PayPal releases the payment and funds are available. Please, remember that in my auctions the buyer pays for shipping and if the money isn’t available in my PayPal account I can’t ship the records. I know this could be an inconvenient, but I hope you can understand that PayPal places on hold the money, not me.

FEEDBACK

We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for. And we expect to receive a positive feedback from buyers who receive the records immediately after they have got the records.

In the case PayPal has placed on hold the payment, feedback will be left when buyer has received the record and expressed his/her satisfaction with a possitive feedback.

IMPORTANT TO READ

We are not responsible for all the taxes, duties, fees you could have to pay in your country, but I always declare the records as gift.

If you have some doubt or question feel free to contact us, we will be glad to answer all that you want to know about this item.

The new policy of PayPal informed to me to place on hold the payments:

Your transactions are placed on hold as we are unable to confirm that the items have been shipped. We encourage you to provide tracking numbers for the items you are shipping to protect you as a seller through PayPal’s Seller Protection Policy. This hold is implemented to all eBay sites. This is part of the security measures to help buyers and sellers have successful business transactions.”

I would like to assure you that this hold placed on your payments is an additional measure taken by eBay and PayPal to protect you as a seller. Both your eBay and PayPal accounts are being reviewed regularly to see how we can further help you maintain successful transactions and good reputation for your seller account.”

THIS NEW POLICY IS AGAINST BUYERS AND SELLERS!!!

Buyers pay for shipping in my auctions, so it’s obvious that if money is placed on hold the seller (me) won’t have that money available to ship the items. What kind of help is that? Buyers deserve respect and I don’t see how to place on hold the payments will help to “maintain successful transactions”… My buyers and me don’t need that kind of help!!! The comments I get prove the quality of the records I sell and the satisfaction of my buyers with the service I give. I hope you can understand that I try to give all the satisfaction possible and records are sent when payments are available in my PayPal account but if PayPal decides to place on hold your payment and the money you pay for shipping, then it’s PayPal the responsible for the extra delay of 21 days, NOT ME.
