2014 US Record Store Day exclusive 10-track LP, featuring Congratulations on heavyweight 180-gram audiophile vinyl; presented in a gatefold sleeve with printed innersleeves and restricted to 1,500 individually numbered copies worldwide and sold on April 19 through shops participating in Record Store Day.

Oracular Spectacular is the first major label studio album by MGMT and ultimately enjoyed both critical approval and commercial success, with the album selling over 500,000 copies in the U.S. and going platinum in Australia, the U.K., and Ireland. Oracular Spectacular features MGMT's signature song "Kids", the funky track "Electric Feel" (famously covered by Weezer) and the smashing opening track "Time to Pretend". The tunes sound classic and new all at once, paying homage to Bowie, the Kinks, and the Stones, while updating traditional progressions with flashes of Royal Trux, Ween, and LCD Soundsystem.

Oracular Spectacular was named the best album of 2008 by NME and In 2009, Rolling Stone named it the 18th-best album of the decade.

This LP remains housed from new in the original manufactur's releasable sleeve with the custom RSD sticker still attached over shrink on front cover, and therefore mint and unplayed!. The jacket is in excellent condition with no bent corners, cuts, ring wears, creases, seams or other flaws. This is the #447. An absolutely stunning copy. See the images to the bottom of the page. Any visible white spots are shine from the lighting and are NOT defects.

The original idea for Record Store Day was conceived by Chris Brown, and was founded in 2007 by Eric Levin, Michael Kurtz, Carrie Colliton, Amy Dorfman, Don Van Cleave and Brian Poehner as a celebration of the unique culture surrounding over 700 independently owned record stores in the USA, and hundreds of similar stores internationally. 

This is the one day that all of the independently owned record stores come together with artists to celebrate the art of music. Special vinyl and CD releases and various promotional products are made exclusively for the day and hundreds of artists in the United States and in various countries across the globe make special appearances and performances. Festivities include performances, cook-outs, body painting, meet & greets with artists, parades, djs spinning records and on and on. Metallica officially kicked off Record Store Day at Rasputin Music in San Francisco on April 19, 2008 and Record Store Day is now celebrated the third Saturday every April.
