On offer here is a copy of Captain Fantastic And the Brown Dirt Cowboy by Elton John, released on the DJM label in 1975, catalogue number DJPX 1.
It should be noted that most copies of this reasonably common album come without all the booklets and poster, this has ALL of these and is complete, and as such is now quite rare. details of these are described later.
The unlaminated gatefold cover, which has the DJM address and Pye records as the distributors, is in excellent condition with just very light rubbing to the bottom edge and some rubbing to the tips of the corners. All the colours are bright and fresh and the edges and spine are clean and square. the inside of the gatefold has the Queens Award To Industry logo awarded to Dick James Music.
The vinyl has a mirror like shine to both sides and looks in excellent Plus condition. The labels are clean and fresh and are in similar condition with one wispy light spindle mark.
The matrix numbers are DJPX - 1 - A1 and B2 with "ARUN" scratche din the dead wax area on both sides.
There are two booklets, one is titled "Lyrics" and has them along with some pictures and graphics, the other is called "Scraps" with pictures and early press cuttings and even a cartoon story of Elton's life!
Both of these are Mint.
There is also a Giant poster of the cover art of the album, also in Mint condition.
The record will be sent outside of it's cover sandwiched between two 12" cardboard stiffeners and sent in a heavy duty record mailer made by Covers 33. It will be sent within 5 days of receiving payment, by PayPal only please and this is only open to UK bidders, thanks.
Generous postage discounts will be given for multiple purchases.
