Ruggiero Ricci/London Symphony Orchestra Conducted By Oivin Fjeldstad - Sibelius Violin Concerto In D Minor Op 47 - Decca SXL 2077 This is an impossibly rare first STEREO pressing of one of the most sought after classical records. It has the black & silver wide-band unboxed Decca labels with the ridge that serious collectors insist upon. The laminated cover has the blue text on the back which only appeared on the early copies. To give an indication of just how desirable this record is, a copy in similar condition sold recently for over 3000 GB Pounds!! This copy is a very playable/enjoyable example, the disc is clean & shiny with just a couple of light surface marks which cause a little occasional crackle - nothing too distracting - and 95% of it plays perfectly. There is one click at the end of Side 1 but there is nothing obvious on the disc to cause it so it may well be a pressing fault. I am placing a reserve of just 100 GB Pounds and this is a great chance for someone to pick up a real bargain so good luck! I am happy to answer any questions and also happy to ship anywhere on the planet but recorded/insured air mail is a must.
