Vinyl in VG condition. Jacket VG /- has edge and shelf wear. Sticker discoloration on front cover. Many picture discs are essentially novelty or collectors' items and aren't made with the audiophile in mind.
Mike Oldfield's first solo album, leading to a string of distinctive works spanning a decade before he drifted towards commercial mediocrity, remains a masterpiece.
As progressive as instrumental progressive rock gets.
We've all heard the opening piano-and-bells sequence in The Exorcist, but surprisingly few have listened to the equally-remarkable remaining 20 minutes of Part 1, much less Part 2.
Oldfield specializes in complex, overlapping, syncopated melodies and polyrhythms, foreshadowing the nouveau-classical works of Vangelis, Jean Michel Jarre, Steve Reich and many others.

Vinyl Grading is based on Goldmine and International grading standards.  I understand that gradings can be interpreted in different ways by each collector, but I attempt to grade as accurately as possible, and I do think I grade on the conservative end.  I do not subscribe to the theory that “no record can be mint”, and if you know yourself to be an unsually demanding grader, please contact me before bidding to clarify any questions reguarding grading.

***

NEAR MINT. Maybe A few very light and superficial marks, but vinyl looks almost like new.  Marks are mainly sleeve scuffs and are barely visible, are probably inaudible, and do not affect visual integrity of the vinyl. Vinyl shines like new and original luster is intact.

VG++ Slightly lover than a Near Mint- Grading.  A few light scuffs from sleeve removal, they are visible, but are fairly insignificant relative to the overall condition of the vinyl. Vinyl Looks great for the most part without any MAJOR imperfections. Vinyl is glossy and has much of its original luster

VERY GOOD+ (VG+) . , Not near mint, but is still in clean and nice condition. There are some surface marks and abrasions, but they do not take away from the overall listening experience.

VERY GOOD (VG) , Surface marks and abrasions are more evident, background noise will be noticeable.
