DEEP PURPLE

“STORMBRINGER”

RARE and HARD-TO-FIND original very first STEREO DEEP PURPLE’s “STOMBRINGER” press released in Chile in 1975 by EMI ODEON CHILENA S.A., licensed from Purple Records Ltd., catalog number SLDC-35309, with hand etched matrix numbers TPS-3508 A 1 in Side A and TPS-3508 B 1 1 in Side B!!! Yes Sirs, ANOTHER FIND!!! I’ve found other copies of this album before but by the very first time I’ve found a copy with 1/1 stampers!!! AMAZING FIND!!! And see the picture, this record is in superb condition!!!

“STORMBRINGER” was originally released in 1974 but we have to wait in Chile until 1975 to see this record released here. And we got it like many cases of that period with and UNIQUE COVER!!! Yes!!! In Chile it’s a flipback cover made with 2 single pieces of cardboard, with front cover pasted in the flips of the back cover. Front cover is laminated and keeps the original artwork with album title written in English only, but back cover isn’t laminated and it’s different, it’s black and white coloured with all lyrics and credits written in English only, and at the bottom it’s written in Spanish: “Marca Registrada Y Licencia Por Purple Records Ltd. Fabricado Y Distribuido por EMI Odeon Chilena S.A.”. In both cover and labels the album title and tracklist are in English only. It’s interesting to see that in back cover the song “You can’t do it right (With the one you love)”, correctly written, is written “You can’t do it right” in label. And it’s also interesting to see that in back cover the Chilean company is “EMI ODEON CHILENA S.A.” but in label they printed “INDUSTRIAS ELECTRICAS Y MUSICALES ODEON S.A.”.

The cover was already described and it’s in EX- or EX condition, complete and clean, no missing parts, some creases, some wear in all edges more evident in corners, a light but notorious ring mark in back cover, most evident in back cover, no writings but a double stamp in back cover “Discotheque Ero’s”. The record is in superb EX- or EX condition both sides, glossy and clean, with some scuffs and hairlines and some soft scratches hard to see, which don’t affect sound at all. Labels on both sides are in EX or EX+ condition, clean and clear, with minimal spindle hole wear and a stamp “Discotheque Ero’s” in both sides. The sound is amazing!!! It’s in superb EX or EX+ condition both sides, clear and clean, loud, no background noise (background noise was normal in most of records pressed in Chile), only some occasional crackles and pops barely audible, which don’t distract at all from the great sound this album keeps from the beginning to the end. Overall, a MEGARARE record in still an amazing condition after almost 40 years, with UNIQUE COVER and AMAZING 1/1 STAMPERS!!! WOW!!! A MUST TO HAVE for all Deep Purple fans or collectors!!! Click on the pictures to enlarge and see the labels and cover in detail.

Bid with confidence and don’t wait until the last second because you could lose the chance to get a real collectable record from Chile (South America) in superb condition like this copy is. You know South American records aren’t easy to get in good conditions, so HAPPY BIDDING and don’t let this record to go away… you could never see a so good copy of this record again… if you are lucky enough to see even another copy again…

Thanks for watching and bidding, good luck and best regards from Chile

We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

FEEDBACK

We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for. And we expect to receive a positive feedback from buyers who receive the records immediately after they have got the records.
