David Bowie - Hunk Dory - RCA - SF 8244 - Original UK pressing with laminated sleeve This 1971 album eventually sold a lot of copies but when it was first issued Bowie's career was in the doldrums and RCA only pressed up a very small quantity. These initial pressings are astonishingly rare and can be identified by the laminated sleeve (the later pressings have a matt sleeve) which has no mention of Gem or Mainman and the labels have a glossy sheen.. This is a beautiful  copy, played once to record on to tape and then filed away in a plastic sleeve. For a Bowie collector it's a must have. Copies have sold at auction for over £1500 !!!! The only flaw is that on the side 1 label the previous owner has written "CL 22" (part of has filing system) but it has been done neatly and could probably be removed with a bit of know-how. Happy to answer any questions and to ship anywhere on the planet but recorded/tracked/insured post is a must. .
