Here is a rare, 1st pressing copy of "License to Ill," by The Beastie Boys.
The record itself is in a 6.5 out of 10.  There are surface scratches that look bad but really aren't.  Side 2 has the largest surface scratch that, again, looks bad, but while testing it, the record didn't seem to skip whatsoever.  I did not, though, listen to the entire record, just parts of it to test whether the scratches have any affect on it.  Side 2s label is torn and still there, just slid to the side so nothing important is missing.  I did my best with the photos but the record does play with no apparent skips.
The gatefold record casing is in great shape.  The spine shows no signs of wear.  The record sleeve "Def Jam Records" is a bit torn along the seam.
This is most definitely a true vintage 1986 1st pressing of "License to Ill" because the pressing number indicates it is so: AL 40238/BL 40238 while the catalog number is C 40238.  The runout has the etchings for Side 1 is "Get off my Bick 666" while Side 2s runout is blocked by the label that has slid away from its original spot.
With all of this said, the condition of the record, sleeve, and cardboard gatefold casing, in my honest opinion, is a 7 out of 10.  It's a wonderful collector's item that will look great on the wall in a frame or spinning on your turntable.
