Early USA vinyl LP pressing -- URIAH HEEP - self-titled debut album - 1970 Mercury Records USA - SR-61294.  Because the actual LP is enclosed in a 1973 Mercury / Phonogram inner sleeve (see photo), this would seem to be a pressing from that year (or when they made the change from multiple Mercury ovals along the perimeter of the record label to fewer).  However, the actual pressing is most likely from much earlier (there is an M2 on side one and an M1 on side two, which indicates very early pressings).  Regardless, the sonics are superb, as I sampled the classic first track, "Gypsy," from side one.  Vinyl appears in Near Mint condition ...one small superficial scuff that does not affect play.  Vinyl is still glossy -- LP not likely played more than a couple of times.  1973 era Mercury record labels are clean (and more red than they appear in the photos).  Gatefold cover/jacket is Excellent ...very close to Near Mint ...just a slight bit of edge and corner wear.  Really superb condition for a gatefold that is over 40 years old!  Includes ORIGINAL inner sleeve, advertising albums released during 1973, including Uriah Heep Live (see photo).  Enclosed in a protective poly outer sleeve.  Low opening bid.  Stored in a non-smoking environment.  Please ask questions if you are unclear about this or any of my other auctions.  Serious bidders only, please.  Thank you.
