Charlie Lincoln and Various Blues
..Label / Catalogue number :
n/a
..Year of release :
?
..Special Information :
Acetate of recordings by Charlie Lincoln and various Blues men including R Brown, John Estes, Ramblin Thomas, J Daniels, Blind Lemon Jefferson and John Hurt. This is part of a collection of acetates produced by John R.T. Davies.
He was considered to have been the world's leading specialist in the art of sound restoration; he specialised in the remastering of early jazz and blues recordings.
He set up his own record label, Ristic, and worked on releases for the 77 label releasing extremely limited edition vinyl (of less than 100 copies). I am uncertain if the contents of these acetates were prepared for such a release or if their production represented a labour of love for Davies..

..Condition
..1) Disc :
..Vinyl - Visual :
Excellent, looks to be very lightly played, occasional light surface mark. Hardly played.
..Vinyl - Audio :
Near mint plays almost perfectly very occasional light background noise (although background noise is from the original source material i.e. remastered recordings. Not the Acetate disc itself
Due to the difficulty in discribing how a record plays / sounds I have invested in the appropiate systems to allow you to listen to the record in full, thus you can decide the play condition of the vinyl. I would judge this record as near mint, but listen and draw your own conclusions.
The process: Record is played on a Pro-ject turntable and recorded on to recordable CD, converted to mp3 format and uploaded to player. This gives a true representation of how the record sounds including any inperfections the record may have.
Please note the sound file playing is a direct recording of the record you are buying, nothing added or taken away.
..Sleeve :
N/A hand made sleeve, suspected track lising written by John R.T. Davies (see pictures)
