Welcome to 'Its the vinyl countdown' music auctions. Here you will find some of the most incredible rare records and music memorabilia for your collection. We pride ourselves on auctioning only the highest grade records and items, you will not see anything listed here below EX+ condition, unles the item is extremely rare. You will not see worn covers, warped records or scratched records. We simply do not bother with them.

We list in many cases, 'Archived' & 'mint' condition items, we are able to source from private collections all over the UK. So we hope you can be put at ease that what you are bidding on is of the highest quality.

We play through most of the records, unless the item is clearly mint, or sealed..in which case we don't play them, thus maintaining their 'unplayed' status!  Obviously with some of these rare items there will be the odd 'anomoly' along the way , the odd little static pop or lead in 'sizzle' for a split second.. nothing is perfect we find! all systems differ, but we aim to describe these as accurately as possible for you.... PLEASE ENJOY THIS ITEM YOU ARE NOW LOOKING AT..

Superb original 1st   press LP in amazing play condition.

WITH ORIGINAL SPIRAL INNER SLEEVE (Some early copies came with this!)

This is the first pressing with the 9102 008 matrix..there are also some slightly later ACBS matrix copies which we believe are for the 'UK record club issue'. Later pressings had the etchings left off.

THE VINYL   MINT-  INCREDIBLE  CONDITION

As you can see, this vinyl is the 1st 1976 UK PRESSING- With the  stamped matrixes & Original spiral inner sleeve!

(we remember back in the day some copies of this LP and Fighting, and also Night Life did have what was then 'left over' SPIRAL VERTIGO inner sleeves put inside to get them gone!)

Stored from new this LP remains in pristine condition with remarkably very low play and no marks or damage!

This pressing is a superb vinyl which has retained its amazing glossy sheen and finish. There is no dulling anywhere of any note, and overall it is in incredible condition for an LP of this age. Bearing in mind just how many copies of this were trashed..finding one at all is becoming incredibly hard to do..let a lone one that plays as good as this.

There are some light whisp lines, some tiny hairlines and thats it-  nothing else!  Clearly this LP has been archived for many many years, a few little dust specs are on the vinyl when we slid it for checking..

IT REMAINS IN ASTONISHING CONDITION.

On playing through we heard little static and a few tiny dust pops in the dead grooves.and thats about it-..IT REALLY PLAYS QUITE STUNNING!  'fight or fall' & 'cowboy song' both sounded amazing in the quiet passages.

OVERALL THIS IS SIMPLY A MUST FOR ANY FINAL UPGRADE COLLECTION. YOU WILL NOT SEE BETTER.

THE SLEEVE     EX+     

Correct  first UK MATT earliest sleeve  - with the silver inks and die cut TV set.

PRINTER CREDITS: HOWARDS (Slough)

These sleeves are now impossible to find without bad spine wear and tatty die cuts, and worse..silver rub! a terror for this sleeve. Many sleeves have bad rub on the black inks too.

NOT THIS ONE!

The edges have some tiny feint traces of rub, at all , and all colours and inks remain in outstanding condition

No powdery ringwear - just some very light ring press, BUT THE BLACK INKS ARE ALL SUPERB.

There is some light rub spider lines and discolour over the edging and spine

The spine edge is leaning slightly as most do, and some light rub in  a few places. There is some light tip rub too.

The open edge flap remains in immaculate sharp condition, just a hint of feather at the bottom -superb.

The die cut is immaculate, as is the black inks on the insie of the front panel.

the colour side is mint.

We cannot add any more than this! All things considered, a nice sleeve..and the vinyl really is a beauty!
