JORGEN INGMANN

And His Guitar

SIDE A:     BOOGIE DEL ECO

                  (Echo Boogie)

SIDE B:     APACHE

MEGARARE and Hard-To-Find original Top Rank International Records very first Mono press released, made and distributed in Chile in 1960 (?) by Corporación De Radio De Chile S.A. (CRC Records), catalog number TR-1050, with machine etched matrix numbers TR-1050-A T1 in Side A and TR-1050-B T1 in Side B, with white/red Top Rank International Records labels. Yes, Sirs, ANOTHER GREAT FIND FROM CHILE!!!

The first to tell about this single is that it was originally released late 1960 and it became a big hit in January 1961 in USA. I was informed for the person who originally owned a copy of this single which I sold for a years ago that it was released here in Chile in 1960, but considering it’s licensed from UK Top Rank International Records, now I guess the year more probable is 1961. Anyway, not many records of the period were released in Chile the same year, this could be one of those cases, maybe not, but something is sure, this Chilean issue it’s a RARITY. The song titles are written in Spanish, translated to English, with full credits for songwriters and price, E°0,99, informed in the Side A. And if you know this single maybe you have already noticed the most interesting and unique fact about this Chilean issue: here in Chile the songs are inverted!!! Yes, because “Apache” is the original Side A of this single, but we got it like the Side B of “Echo Boogie”!!!  So, here you have the chance to own this MEGARARE single of Jorgen Ingmann with UNIQUE white Top Rank International Records labels and “Apache” as Side B!!! WOW!!! A MUST TO HAVE!!!

This single doesn’t come with a cover. Record is in great VG- or VG condition both sides, closer to VG-, glossy and clean but loads of scuffs, hairlines and many soft scratches of all sizes and in all directions, which incredibly don’t affect play. Labels are in VG- or VG condition both sides, clear and clean, with moderate wear in the large hole, a big “R” written in both sides, a tear in Side A and a blemish in Side B, the push-out center was removed. The sound is in strong VG- or VG condition both sides, loud, clear and clean, with a light background noise (background noise was normal in records from Chile), with soft constant crackles and very occasional light pops here and there, which don’t cause major distraction from the loud and clear sound this record keeps from the beginning to the end. Overall, a MEGARARE record with UNIQUE  white Top Rank International Records labels, Spanish-written song titles and INVERTED SIDES, “Apache” is the Side B, in still a great condition, maybe not for Minty minds or audiophiles, but sure it’s still a record with still a very nice look and great sound quality after 55 or maybe more years, sure this record won’t disappoint anyone!!! And, yes Sirs, WHAT A FIND AGAIN!!! Click on the pictures to enlarge and see the labels in detail. WOW!!!

Bid with confidence and don’t wait until the last second because you could lose the chance to get a real collectable record from Chile (South America) in superb condition like this copy is. You know South American records aren’t easy to get in good conditions, so HAPPY BIDDING and don’t let this record to go away… you could never see a so good copy of this record again… if you are lucky enough to see even another copy again…

Thanks for watching and bidding, good luck and best regards from Chile

We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

FEEDBACK

We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for. And we expect to receive a positive feedback from buyers who receive the records immediately after they have got the records.
