OUT-OF-PRINT 2012 Dutchg limited 27-track 2-LP on 180 gram vinyl; presented in a deluxe gatefold picture sleeve.
David Bowie and a star-studded cast of special guests gather at New York City’s fabled Madison Square Garden to celebrate Bowie’s 50th birthday. In keeping with Bowie’s longstanding artistic independence, this is far more than a standard tribute event: Bowie puts on an amazing, full-scale show with his tight-knit, hard-driving, highly sophisticated band, taking a fascinating trip through a big slice of his catalog.

Beloved songs from all Bowie periods get compelling interpretations including "Space Oddity," "Little Wonder," "Seven Years In Tibet," "The Man Who Sold the World," "Under Pressure," and "All The Young Dudes" among many others. And then there are the guests: the Pixies’ Frank Black, the entire Foo Fighters joining Bowie’s band for "Hallo Spaceboy," the Cure’s Robert Smith, Sonic Youth, and the Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan.
 

Plus a major set with Lou Reed, in many ways the concert’s centerpiece, with Bowie and Reed covering songs from both camps and seeming to have a fantastic time doing it.  A thrilling celebration, by and for one of our greatest living artists!

This vinyl set remains sealed from new in the original manufactur's shrink wrap. Unplayed vinyl pressings are still sealed within. The jacket is in mint condition (No Cuts, No Ring Wears). An absolutely stunning copy!!!. Any visible white spots are shine from the lighting and are NOT defects. PLEASE VIEW ALL PICTURES TO GIVE YOURSELF A FULL IDEA OF THE CONDITION OF THIS WONDERFUL SET.
