For sale is Bruce Springsteen's The River, originally released in 1980 by Columbia Records as a double album with a 4-page lyric booklet and premium inner sleeves. In the dead wax between the label and the last track are the matrix numbers 1CF3 (Side 1) 1BF2 (Side 2) 1BF2 (Side 3) and 1DF4 (Side 4). All these dead wax etchings signify that early stampers were used to make these records and are known for their superior sound quality, sought after by collectors and music lovers alike. I bought this used, professionally cleaned them on my VPI HW-17 machine and immediately put them into two MFSL archival inner sleeves. This protects the integrity of the vinyl and any original inner sleeve(s) or insert(s) that may have come with the record. The inner sleeves are Near Mint. The 4-page lyric insert is Excellent with some creases and wrinkles. The cover is graded as VG+ because of some stress cracks along the spine, corner blunts, slight ring wear and a tear on the top with paper loss. The spine has color loss from the stress cracks and corner rubs. The vinyl is visually graded Excellent for Side 1 and Side 2 and graded as VG+ for Side 3 and Side 4 . I'm play grading Sides 1 & 2 as Excellent because of an occasional bit of low level surface noise, usually during the quiet sections. Side 3 and 4 are graded as VG because of surface noises and occasional ticking on Side 3. It's been played on state-of-the-art audiophile equipment while I owned it and still has a lot of life left to it. I have other Rock and Roll albums, as well as records of all different genres in my Ebay store. Please take a look. They're mostly Near Mint. Thank you for viewing my listing.
I've been collecting records for about 50 years now and have always cleaned them and put them away carefully in plastic inner sleeves. Over the years I've used Dust Bugs, Disc Washers and have finally invested in a professional VPI record cleaning machine. Now that I'm retiring, I'm selling my very esoteric collection. I'm not a professional grader of records, but will use record guides, as well as my personal experiences as a basis of my grading all records. Since grading is subjective, I will be conservative. I offer discounts for multiple sales. Photos are of the actual item for sale, not a stock photo. Please review all descriptions and photos because I do not accept returns. Thank you for looking!
