For sale is Frank Sinatra's Come Fly With Me, originally released in 1958 by Capitol Records. This album has the original gray labels with the "Capitol" logo in silver at the top and "Long Playing High Fidelity", also in silver, on the bottom. In the dead wax between the labels and the last tracks are the matrix numbers N-6/N-7, indicating that an early stamper was used to make this first edition, a hallmark of state-of-the-art engineering, sought after by collectors and music lovers for their superior sound quality. I bought this used, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 machine and immediately put this album into a MFSL archival inner sleeve. Doing this protects the integrity of vinyl and any original inner sleeve(s) or insert(s) that may have come with the release. The original inner sleeve is graded as VG+ because of oxidation, ink writing and a small tear at the opening. The cover is graded as G+ because of ring wear, corner blunts, a crease in the middle and a 5" seam split at the top right hand side of the jacket. The spine has color loss at each corner. The vinyl is visually graded as VG because of sleeve marks, one smudge and surface scratches. The vinyl is play graded as VG because of an occasional pop along with low level surface noise, most noticeable during the quiet parts of playback. Being that it is almost 60 years old, you would be hard pressed to find a first pressing with the gray labels in any condition. I have more Sinatra records, as well as albums of all different genres, in my Ebay store. Please take a look. They're predominately Near Mint. Thank you for viewing my listing.    I've been collecting records for about 50 years now and have always cleaned them and put them away carefully in plastic inner sleeves. Over the years I've used Dust Bugs, Disc Washers and have finally invested in a professional VPI record cleaning machine. Now that I'm retiring, I'm selling my very esoteric collection. I'm not a professional grader of records, but will use record guides, as well as my personal experiences as a basis of my grading all records. Since grading is subjective, I will be conservative. I offer discounts for multiple sales. Photos are of the actual item for sale, not a stock photo. Please review all descriptions and photos because I do not accept returns. Thank you for looking!
