QUEEN

“A NIGHT AT THE OPERA”

WOW!!! WOW!!! WOW!!! ULTRARARE and HARD-TO-FIND original EMI Records very first PROMOTIONAL Stereo press released, made and distributed in Chile in 1975 by EMI Odeon Chilena S.A. (EMI Chile), catalog number 5143, with hand etched matrix number YAX 5063 1 in Side A and YAX 5064 1 in Side B, with white Promotional EMI Records labels!!! If you are a fan of Queen you should already know that Chile was one of the 31 countries where this album did its debut and here it’s by the very first time in eBay an original promotional copy of 1975 released in Chile with 1/1 stampers!!! WOW!!! Yes, Sirs, WHAT A FIND from Chile again!!!

Well, let’s see why this very first Stereo press released in Chile is A MUST TO HAVE for fans and collectors worldwide. Chile is one of the countries where “A NIGHT AT THE OPERA” was released for the very first time, it has a laminated gatefold cover (the cardboard isn’t so thick like in regular version), with the mouth in the inner cover on the left half and keeps the original artwork, includes the English-written lyrics of the songs and the back cover includes the English-written tittles of the 12 original songs. However the labels have the album title written in Spanish only and the tracklist is written in Spanish, translated to English, with full credits for songwriters. But, the real surprise and the fact why this Chilean issue is the RAREST ISSUE WORLDWIDE is that songs listed in the back cover are the original songs of the album, 7 in the Side A and 5 in the Side B, but the label in Side A lists 5 songs!!! Yes, for a reason nobody knows, IN CHILE EMI OMITTED 2 SONGS!!! The songs “’39” and “Sweet lady” weren’t included in the Chilean very first Stereo press!!! The songs are listed in the cover, the inner cover includes the lyrics of both songs, but the songs aren’t included in the record!!! Wow!!! Yes Sirs, THIS IS A REAL FIND WORLDWIDE!!! How many copies exist of this very first Chilean press of “A Night At The Opera”? Impossible to know, but something we know: it’s an extremely rare record and this time we have found the almost NEVER SEEN authentic Promotional copy with white promotional labels!!! And you have the chance to own this rarity in really great condition!!! UNIQUE EDITION worldwide with UNIQUE EDITED TRACKLIST and WHITE PROMOTIONAL LABELS never seen before!!! And see the labels, this issue also hides an UNIQUE ERROR, the song “The Prophet’s Song” is misspelled “The Prophet’s SON”!!! WOW!!! AMAZING FIND!!!

* UNIQUE WHITE PROMOTIONAL LABELS *

* UNIQUE TRACKLIST WITH 2 SONGS NOT INCLUDED IN RECORD *

* UNIQUE PRINT ERROR *

* UNIQUE 1/1 STAMPERS *

* THIS ISSUE ONLY RELEASED IN CHILE *

* NEVER SEEN IN eBay BEFORE *

The cover was already described and it’s in strong VG or VG+ condition, clear and clean, with moderate wear in all edges, more evident in corners, very light ring marks, some age browning in inner sleeve, some tears, some tape in edges of back cover, some scratches, and the main reason to downgrade the cover is that someone, sure in the radio station which originally owned this record, opened the mouth at right edge (as informed, the mouth is in the inside), obviously to make easier to get out and in the record, but as you can see in the pictures, it doesn’t affect the look at first sight. The record is in great VG or VG+ condition both sides, glossy and clean, but with many scuffs, soft hairlines and some soft scratches, which don’t affect play. Labels on both sides are in VG or VG+ condition, clean and clear, with some spindle hole wear, evident age browning, some little faint blemishes in Side B, a name written in Side A and in both sides someone deleted with black pen the text “VENTA PROHIBIDA” (Sale Forbidden) below the text “DISCO PROMOCIONAL” (Promotional Record). The sound is in strong VG+ or EX- condition both sides, loud, clear and clean, with no background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), with soft constant crackles and some light pops here and there, which don’t really cause major distraction from the experience to listen this record. Overall, maybe this record isn’t for Minty minds or audiophiles, it has some flaws in cover and record, but for sure the cover is still in great condition and the record keeps a more than decent and respectable sound quality after about 47 years, which won’t disappoint anyone and will satisfy any serious collector who knows the real level of rarity of this UNIQUE CHILEAN PROMO PRESS, a record to listen and enjoy from the beginning to the end. And keep in mind this is the ULTRARARE AUTHENTIC PROMOTIONAL COPY with WHITE LABELS released in Chile, the only country with an EDITED ISSUE of “A Night At The Opera”, with 2 SONGS OMITTED and UNIQUE ERROR “THE PROPHET’S SON” and 1/1 STAMPERS!!! WOW!!! Click on the pictures to enlarge and see the cover and labels in detail.

Bid with confidence and don’t wait until the last second because you could lose the chance to get a real collectable record from Chile (South America) in superb condition like this copy is. You know South American records aren’t easy to get in good conditions, so HAPPY BIDDING and don’t let this record to go away… you could never see a so good copy of this record again… if you are lucky enough to see even another copy again…

Thanks for watching and bidding, good luck and best regards from Chile

_________________________________________________________

We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

FEEDBACK

We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for. And we expect to receive a positive feedback from buyers who receive the records immediately after they have got the records.
