MEGARARE and Hard-To-Find original CAPITOL Records very first Mono press released in Chile by Capitol Records in 1959, licensed from Capitol Records Inc., USA, made and distributed by Industrias Eléctricas y Musicales Odeon S.A. (Odeon Records Chile), catalog number F 4247, with machine etched matrix numbers 45-22781 1S (“1S” inverted) in Side A and 45-22781 1S (“1S” inverted) in Side B, with yellow/black Capitol Records labels. Yes Sirs, ANOTHER GREAT FIND FROM CHILE!!!

The first to tell about this single is that here in Chile we got it the same year it was released in USA, with similar large hole as usual for Capitol Records those years. The song titles are written in Spanish, translated to English, with full credits for songwriters and in Side A it’s the price printed, $1.260!!! As you must know, this single by The Fascinators is a rare find of one of the classic doo-wop songs of all times. So, here you have the chance to own this MEGARARE PRESS of The Fascinators with UNIQUE YELLOW CAPITOL RECORDS LABELS and by the very first time auctioned here in eBay!!! WOW!!! A MUST TO HAVE!!!

This single doesn’t come with a cover. Record is in VG- condition both sides, it’s glossy and clean but with many scuffs, hairlines and very soft scratches, which don’t affect play. Labels are in great EX or EX+ condition in both sides, clear and clean, with some spindle hole wear and name written in Side B. The sound is a really the best part, it’s in great EX or EX+ condition both sides, loud, clear and clean, no background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), with only soft crackles and some very occasional light pops here and there, which don’t cause any distraction from the great sound this record keeps from the beginning to the end. Overall, a MEGARARE record with YELLOW CAPITOL RECORDS LABELS, Spanish-written song titles and priced label in still a great condition and with still amazing sound quality after about 62 years, which won’t disappoint anyone, a record to see, listen and enjoy and don’t forget this is the very first time this MEGARARE PRESS is auctioned here in eBay!!! And, yes Sirs, WHAT A FIND AGAIN!!! Click on the pictures to enlarge and see the labels in detail. WOW!!!

We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

 

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

SHIPPING (Packing and Postage)

We have an unique value worldwide:

GBP15 for weight until 1kg (usually 1 or 2 records 12" depending on thickness of the vinyl)

GBP25 for weight 1-2kg (usually 3-5 records 12")

GBP10 for one 7” record

All records will be packed outside of the sleeve to avoid damages in the cover and all records will be sent with tracking number via Small Packet or Parcel Post services.
