Originally released in 2000 on Twist Records, the mighty SolarFlares (ex-Prisoners, Prime Movers, Daggermen etc etc etc) followed up their debut 'Psychedelic Tantrum' with this corker, partly recorded at the now-legendary Toe Rag Studios. Comprising 12 dynamite Graham Day originals, the set features less gloriously distorto production (than the debut), but the album’s expanded, richer and more defined sonic palette encompasses kinetic acoustic riffery (“Miles Away”), fuzztastic beaters (“Sucking Out My Insides”) and the obvs Gerry Anderson-inspired (“Angel Interceptor”) – tis a stone pleasure, indeed!
