For sale is Deep Purple Made In Japan, originally released in 1973 by Warner Brothers Records as a double album set with a gate-fold presentation. In the dead wax between the labels and the last tracks is an upper case "O", followed by the matrix number JW-2, signifying that an early stamper was used to make this first record at Capitol Records' pressing plant located in Jacksonville, Illinois. These are hallmarks of state-of-the-art engineering, sought after by collectors and music lovers for their superior sound quality. I bought this album used, professionally cleaned the two records, then put them into  MFSL archival inner sleeves. This protects the integrity of the vinyl and any inner sleeve(s) or insert(s) that may have come with this release. The original inner sleeves are graded as Excellent because of bent corners and wrinkles. The cover is graded as VG+ because of corner blunts, edge rubs and ring wear. The spine has color loss at the corners from these blunts. The vinyl is visually graded as VG+ because of sleeve marks and surface scratches. I'm play grading it between VG (Side Two & Four) and Excellent (Side One & Three) because of surface noise and intermittent pops and occasional ticking. You would be hard pressed to find this original album in any condition, being that it has become so scarce. This would make a great addition to anyone's collection. Please take a look at my other Rock and Roll albums, as well all records of all genres in my Ebay store. They're predominately Near Mint. Thank you for viewing my listing.
I've been collecting records for about 50 years now and have always cleaned them and put them away carefully in plastic inner sleeves. Over the years I've used Dust Bugs, Disc Washers and have finally invested in a professional VPI record cleaning machine. Now that I'm retiring, I'm selling my very esoteric collection. I'm not a professional grader of records, but will use record guides, as well as my personal experiences as a basis of my grading all records. Since grading is subjective, I will be conservative. I offer discounts for multiple sales. Photos are of the actual item for sale, not a stock photo. Please review all descriptions and photos because I do not accept returns. Thank you for looking!
