LIGHTNING HOPKINS 1962 Last Of The Great Blues Singers TIME T70004 Lightnin RARE

 

Up for your consideration is this very scarce 1962 copy of "Lightning Hopkins *Last Of The Great Blues Singers" by Sam "Lightning" Hopkins. This was released on the Time label as T/70004. Features 12 tracks by one of the all time great Texas blues men. An extremely rare LP. You won't find another copy anywhere. Real hard core Hopkins. NOT A REISSUE!!

The record is visually graded a VG , but does have a couple of light scuffs which should not affect audio quality The labels are clean, but do show some spindle marks spindle marks. The cover is G, with a five inch seam split on top and a pretty full seam split on the bottom that has a small tape repair. A former owner's name is written in ink on the front upper corner and across the back on top. Quite a bit of shelf scuff is present The spine is tight and still legible. The inner sleeve is generic paper and thought to be original. Overall, a pretty nice copy of a fairly rare LP. I tend to grade conservatively. You won't be disappointed.
So, if this hard to find early Hopkins LP will fill a gap in that blues collection of yours, why not toss in a bid? Who knows when (or if) another copy will surface. Offered at a reasonable open and NO RESERVE!!

All LP's are cleaned on a Nitty Gritty record cleaning machine, inserted into new anti static sleeves and then into new 3 mil outer sleeves prior to shipping. I ship only in new designated record shipping cartons with reinforced inserts.
