Joe Bataan! The legend! And this one is SIGNED by the man himself. An absolute legend of New York salsa, the title says it all. Joe was still making FIRE well into the 70's, and this record is no exception.

Media/Vinyl: VG (Based on conservative play-testing) Side 1: Hairlines and some scratches visible under light, but play is crisp and clean, with faint crackling in only a few spots on Tracks 3 & 4 and no heavy pops. Still the faintness of crackling is evident at times.  Side 2: Faint crackling before start of Side 2, diminishes at start of music. Faint crackling behind rest of side that isn't too noticeable unless you are OBSESSED with crackle free. Some more pops and crackles show up after Track 1, with background noise evident between songs). Sleeve Grading: VG +
This record just sounds fantastic. I grade very conservatively, and tend to be averse to too much background noise. If you're averse to even the faintest crackle, let this one go and wait for a NM copy or higher. I played this through and generally LOATHE records with too much background, but the production still shines through strongly. It's downgraded based upon visual inspection under light, and that VG+ should play without consistent crackling, making this a VG because of sounds of Side 2. It won't skip, the fidelity is strong and it's just a damn wonderful record. But this plays like a PEACH.
