Another very rare record that I have came by.  The record plays great.  It has a few scratches, but most of them are in the runout area along the edge of the record.  Sorry, but it was not able to find the picture sleeve for it.  So it is with a Generic sleeve.
The Benders were four college friends that formed a band in 1964.  They played college parties and night clubs.  In 1966 they traveled to BIG SOUND Records to record the now garage rock classic, The Benders - Can't Tame Me / Got Me Down.   This is the only record the group from Stout University recorded.  It is considered a "Punk Classic" by collectors of that Genre.  The record was released with a picture sleeve that listed the name of a fictional manager to make the band appear more professional.  The Benders operated their own club; "The Pit" and later played at "Pete's Pine Point" and the "Out-A-Sight". The member were: Bass Guitar: Geno Jansen; Drums, Lead Vocal: Paul Barry; Lead Guitar: Gerry Cain, who was also with the group; "The Way Four";  Rhythm Guitar: tom Noffke.  Having grown up around Kenosha, Wisconsin, drummer Paul Barry returned to the Milwaukee area to teach school.  Around 1970 he formed Barry's Truckers, a popular oldies band that continued into the 1990s.  Barry also had his own studio and label, "LULU", formed to record local talent.
As always the record you see is the one you will receive.  30 Day Returns.  Buyer pays for return shipping.  Item must be in same condition for return.  Domestic Flat Rate Shipping: $5.50, International Flat Rate Shipping: $20.00.   Thanks for looking and be sure to check out my other items for sale.  Have a Great and Blessed day.  Good Luck Bidding.
