Wow what an amazing rare LP on offer here!
The rear of the sleeve has a clock design by Any Warhol and is initialled a.w. (see photos). The sleeve features in the catalogue 'Andy Warhol, The Album Covers, 1949-1987' and is a wonderful rare example of his work
The sleeve also has the 'down beat' logo top left above the title
A rare UK Mono LP with Andy Warhol sleeve. This superbly swinging album by the wonderful Artie Shaw, ably supported by the vocals of Lene Horne, Billie Holiday and Helen Forrest, is in really nice clean condition throughout. Extremely clean playing surface and rich clear audio throughout. Both labels are extremely clean and tidy. Likewise the front laminated Robert Stace sleeve is also in lovely condition with just one very light bend crease. Take a look at all the photos of this brilliant vintage album! Clearly the previous owner valued this fantastic album and took really good care of it. I have had it carefully stored away in the time I have owned it and now it is time for someone else to treasure this gem of an LP. So a brilliant Jazz album with amazing Andy Warhol sleeve design! It doesn't get much better than this! Copies are hard enough to find but to find one in such clean and tidy condition,with such superior audio, is an opportunity not to be missed.
