Jimi(James Marshall) Hendrix (1942-1970), Seattle guitarist, singer & songwriter's short career led to him being considered one of      the most influential guitarists in history. His music apprenticeshipinvolved playing in backing bands of & .He really made his mark when in late 1966 he moved to the UK under themanagement of . Within months, he'd achieved three UKtop ten hits ,& . He remained relativelyunknown in the USuntil his 1967 performance at the . He from barbiturate-related on September 18, 1970, aged 27.

He was a gifted pioneering musician spanning many genres including, blues, Pop& Jazz & was prepared to experiment with feedback, distortion, fuzztones etc. It didn't always work, but when it did, he was brilliant.

The vinyl singles in this collection are of at leastVG quality, according to the 'Record Collector guide system'. Most of the picture  sleeves are in good condition consistent with their age. One sleeve has a tear, which may be seen on the photo attached.The dates given are the release dates listed on the record label, but where the record was released earlier & acknowledged, this is listed next to each tune.
