Leonard Nimoy Presents
Mr. Spock’s Music from Outer Space
Dot Records, DLP 3794, 1967 First Pressing, Excellent Condition
Up for bid is a copy of the 1967 LP record “Leonard Nimoy Presents Mr. Spock’s Music from Outer Space”. This monophonic recording was a Dot® Ultra High Fidelity recording, their DLP 3794. The LP album was first released in 1967. Based on the markings, this is a probable first release (although the specific specs for the first release are not commonly available – it is possible that this is just a bit later). This record is in excellent condition. The surfaces of both sides are in very nice condition with scattered light abrasions and shallow ‘scratches’. The record has been tested on both sides, and plays very well, with no observed extraneous sounds reflecting use; the shallow abrasions do not appear to affect the sound. This is a very good example of this notable record (see photos). It come in the record sleeve, which is unblemished. The record jacket is quite nice, with some edge abrasions reflecting its age. A great copy of Mr. Spock’s first LP record – reflecting a great show.
