CAPITOL PURPLE LABEL (TYPE 2)

From June 1988 to 1991, Capitol Records singles carried the all-purple label.  This label can be identified by the “Capitol Dome” logo printed in silver on the top of the label.  In the rim print in silver ink it says “Manufactured By Capitol Records Inc. A Subsidiary of Capitol Industries, Inc.,” and continues with “All rights reserved. Unauthorized duplication is a violation of applicable laws.” 15 Beatles singles and a few Solo singles were reissued on this Capitol label over a 4-year period. NOTE: Some singles have “Stereo” printed on them, while others do not have “Stereo” or “Mono” printed on them.
