Lot of 3 Klaatu records. One may be a rare bootleg or promo...
1) “Klaatu” (self-titled) — The Record and labels are Excellent+/NM. Some might call it just “NM” once it is cleaned. There is some dust that should be cleaned off. Capitol ST-11542, 1976. The Sleeve Cover is VG/VG+. No seam splits. It has small residue from a sticker on the front.
2) “Sir Army Suit” — The Record and labels are Excellent+/NM. Some might call it just “NM” once it is cleaned. There is some dust that should be cleaned off. Capitol SW-11836, 1978. The Sleeve Cover is VG/VG+. No seam splits. It does have a round hole punch.
3) “Klaatu” (self-titled?) This appears to be a promo or bootleg copy of the S/T record but I don't have my turntable hooked up to check it. If this gets bid up then maybe I will try to play it somewhere else if someone asks. The Record is Good. Dirty and with light scratches. The plainish Sleeve Cover is Good, at best. Back to the record, on the matrix trailoff is”GF-1 and s-26512” except the “1” is crossed out. The other side has “GF-2 and s-2653, with no crossed-out number on that one.
Super rare? Who knows. Maybe it’s one of the first ones the band made in a friends garage or something.
