MICKEY CARROLL "I've Got Plenty Of Nothin'" b/w "Think Love" (Cuero Records CR-45004)
Brand new limited edition vinyl 7"—only 500 copies pressed!
Mickey Carroll began his musical career in the late 50s as teenage doo-wopper with his duo Billy (Harner) And Mickey in his hometown Candem Country (South Jersey), being one of the first artists to break interracial barriers with this type of sound. But when he was 19, his family moved to Miami. This is where he runs his career and begins to be hired in different places, spending two years playing in New Orleans and again back to Miami to be hired by Herman Starr (original owner of the Cotton Club).
In 1969, Mickey, together with some studio musicians and under the direction of the famous sound engineers Ron and Howard Albert, recorded a couple of demos at the Criteria Studios in Miami; an acetate was made as a test of the recording and in those grooves were the songs that Cuero Records have rescued and restored 50 years on, allowing this killer 2-sider to finally see the light of day!
Presented in super-cool silk-screened cover!
