Beach Boys Stack-o-Tracks First Pressing LP VG++ Vinyl
Cover---RIAA 6. Los Angeles pressing of this very hard-to-find LP. Cover is structurally rock solid. Top and bottom seams are moderately frayed from shelfwear. There is one tiny eighth of an inch split to one of the top seams, otherwise, there are no splits. Spine is also frayed, but all the text remains bold and readable. Front and back slicks show minimal wear. NO dirtwear, though. Back cover is still nice and white, although someone has ticked lightly in pen, some of the song titles. (See photos.)
Inside gatefold is strong and bold. A little yellowing, not much. Inside seam has absolutely no splits. Very strong cover, overall.
Booklet--- is present, and in VG+ condition. All pages are still intact strongly. Booklet lies flat, no wrinkles to any of the pages. Staples have rusted. Spine of the booklet has frayed. Print is bold and crisp. Booklet has yellowed some.
Vinyl---Side 1 is a gorgeous VG++. Looks brand new, store stock in normal room lighting. Under the bare bulb, there are a scant few very light, very short hairlines. Side 2 has two matching light lines on either side of the playhole with a couple even lighter lines. Record retains 95% of its original shine! A3/A3 plates are the earliest I’ve ever owned. Now, it’s yours.
Labels---First pressing Los Angeles label with the Capitol logo at the 6 0’clock position. First pressings from LA had, for some reason, two numerals per side that designated side 1 and side 2. Both labels are clean, Near Mint. Absolutely zero spindle marks.
A beautiful copy!
Note: All LP’s ship outside of their album covers in order not to damage the covers during shipment.
Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!
(Please note that due to time constraints, I have had to stop play-testing my vinyl. However, I am happy to by request. As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up. Thanks!)
