PLEASE NOTE: I WILL
ONLY GRADE AN OPENED LP NEAR MINT (NM) IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER
BEEN PLAYED (i.e. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER). OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS
(NM-) IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP.
SEALED, MINT original Columbia/Promotone pressing from 1987 with NO deletion cuts, saw notches, punch holes or corner clips whatsoever. This is not a record club pressing. This is a store-bought copy (with original $6.99 Rolling Stones Records (represent, Chicago!) price sticker with iconic lettering!) that was never opened. You will not be disappointed. Now for the real reason you're reading this. A pair of ultra rare rigid 12 X 12 two-sided in-store promotional displays put out by Promotone in 1987. Drawn and designed by world renowned Italian contemporary artist Francesco Clemente, these are collectible for that reason alone, not just to Stones collectors. These were purchased from a former Tower Records (R.I.P. also) manager who was a fan of The Rolling Stones and decided to keep a pair for her own private collection (which was staggeringly impressive). She told me that 99% of these promotional displays were either tossed after they were displayed or never displayed at all and then tossed. Tower staff saw them as disposable swag and clutter and as a result very few survived from the 80s. These are the kinds of items Stones fans are going to be fighting over fiercely in the very near future and paying a premium for them so don't sleep. This would also make a unique Christmas gift as well. Never too early you know.
