Slim Whitman - North Wind/ Darlin' Don't Cry
(London 45-L1226 UK 7" 1954)
This is a 1954 UK original 7" pressing. The record has black & gold "London" labels which have a Tri-centre. The record has 1st press -1/ -1 matrix stampers. It comes with its original company paper sleeve. A rare UK release on the collectable "Gold London" label.
Vinyl: The previous owner kept this single in an outer PVC sleeve for a long period. This has, over time, reacted with the vinyl and has caused some light, mild or more moderate surface marks which can be seen under a strong light. They do not affect playback. Otherwise, the disc looks in excellent condition with only light or very minor sleeve rubs. Because of the PVC marks, VG condition. The labels are in Excellent+ condition & show minimal spindle wear only. The company paper sleeve is in VG+ condition. There is some light to mild ringwear & rubbing wear. There is a small name written on one side. There are no seam splits.
I have fully play tested this 7" single. It plays VG+ to Near Excellent overall. There is some light, very minor or very mild crackle in the background which is noticeable in the quieter places.
All gradings adhere to UK "Record Collector" specifications. Please be aware that I am an experienced record dealer of 25+ years, all gradings will be completely accurate. So please bid with confidence.
