This is an LP from the collection of Mark Lindsay, which was assembled between 1965 and 1985, when he was with Paul Revere & the Raiders as its lead singer and producer, and later when he was head of A&R for United Artists, and then as the owner of a recording studio.
This is the 1981 release of the surf compilation 2 LP set - California U.S.A., C2 37412 on Columbia Records. The cover is Good+ and the vinyl is Very Good+. Mark purchased this album used and has never played it, and it has probably been played once or twice before he purchased it. We are conservative on our gradings.
The artists include Mark Lindsay's co-writer, producer, and former roommate at Cielo Drive, Terry Melcher (Bruce and Terry and the Rip Chords). Mark met Terry for the first time at CBS during the recording of Hey Little Cobra.
Mark Lindsay will PERSONALLY autograph a 4" x 6" card to the name of your choice and with the notation, "From my vinyl collection." The card features a logo designed for him in 1965. Mark co-founded Paul Revere & the Raiders and was its lead singer and sax player from inception through selling his half of the trademark in 1975. He continues a solo recording and performance career to this day, appearing often on the exciting Happy Together Tour and at other solo shows.
