Collectors, here is an important disc, Victor Black Label 10 inch one side #2668, circa late 1904. The popular duo Arthur Collins and Byron Harlan sing the well known tune "Under the Anheuser Bush", with piano. A wonderful rendition, and the record plays quite loud and well; there is surface noise, as you would expect with this very old record. The back has a price sticker for $1.00, and the Grand Prize label mentions only Buffalo and St. Louis. Because of this, we know the record was retailed before mid 1905, when the price dropped to sixty cents and the Portland exhibition was added to the front label. So, this is the original issue of this song! A great addition to your antique disc collection, sensible buy it now price given what I have here, go for it!
