The Beatles - Beatles For Sale

(Parlophone PCS 3062 UK LP 1964)

This is a rare 1969 UK Stereo LP pressing. It has a front laminated gatefold sleeve which has inner flipbacks. It has an outlined "Stereo" on the front. It comes with its original company plain paper inner sleeve. The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has black & yellow "Parlophone" labels. These have "The Gramophone Co..." text but do not have the "Sold in UK..." text. The matrix numbers and mother stampers are:

Side 1: YEX 142-1 (PO 4)
Side 2: YEX 143-1 (OL 1 7)

This was the final UK pressing of this LP to have black & yellow Parlophone labels. The label design changed in the UK in 1969, so these 1969 "Y&B" UK pressings are quite rare. The UK Stereo pressings feature a slightly different mix of the album too.

Sleeve
: There is a 2.5 cm area of moderate rubbing wear at the bottom spine. This has caused a 2.5 cm seam split at the bottom spine too. There is some mild or very mild rubbing wear to the other three corner tips. There is some light, mild or very mild ringwear. There are a couple of mild creases. A strong VG condition

Vinyl: There are some mild, moderate or more considerable sleeve rubs which can be seen under a strong light. There is a small area of pressing marks which seem to go around the groove slightly on Side 2. There are 4 or 5 light hairline marks. These measure from 1 cm to 5 cm in length. Good condition. The labels are in near excellent condition & show mild spindle wear. The company paper inner sleeve is in VG- condition. There is some light, mild or more moderate ringwear, fading & creasing.

I have fully play tested this LP. It plays VG to VG+ overall. There is some light, mild or very mild crackle in some quieter places. There are a few intermittent light clicks near the start of Side 2. These do not last too long.
