Record Store Day began in 2008 as an annual event held on one Saturday every April, and every 'Black Friday' in November as a tribute to celebrate the independently owned record store. A limited number of special pressed vinyl records are distributed only to shops participating in the event. Here is a sealed copy from the first ever Record Store Day, April 19, 2008. Great track listing. It wears a hype sticker stating: 'Includes music from Bruce Springsteen, Pearl Jam, Lou Reed, John Mayer, and more... while supplies last'. Great find, historic! Sony/BMG Music.
