If you’re here, then you know. You know Neal or his music or his light or the magical combination of them all. An absolutely tragic loss. To his loved ones, the many hundreds of musicians he played with and to the community as a whole. Needless to say, to the world.

Just a beautiful man. That made beautiful music. That touched and meant so much to so many.

It still brings a wave of emotions just writing this.

As someone who lost a dear friend, I can’t implore you enough to reach out to your people that might be suffering. ESPECIALLY in these times of pandemics, economic and general life struggles. Because the feeling of losing someone you love and thinking you could have/should have done more, is one that will be with you long after the memorials, shows and social media posts have gone.

We miss Neal. If you’re reading this, you probably do too. Let’s make sure not to let any more of our phamily fall victim to the internal and external weight of life.

With an open heart and a mind made better through his art, I wish Neal Godspeed! I hope your cares are no more and your weight is lifted. You left us far too soon but your name and all this magic you left behind will help us make sure others never fall that far, brother. Peace and Love and Light!
