I bought this when it came out in 2007 and it has been well cared for in my collection ever since.
It was opened back then but was not played. I removed the records from the inner sleeves and put them in archival inner sleeves to ready for shipping. During this process I noticed the records needed cleaning as most all new records do. They have been well cleaned, but upon visual inspection under bright lamp light I can see some very small minor surface discolorations. Therefore I decided to play test the entire album and am grading each song as noted below:
Side A Yo George: minor surface noise at soft sounds during intro, a couple quiet pops; VG to VG+ Big Wheel: four light pops halfway through song; strong VG to VG+ Bouncing Off Clouds: clear; VG+ Teenage Hustle: minor surface noise at intro, clear through-out; VG+ Digital Ghost: very minor surface noise at soft passages, not distracting, great sound depth when base and percussion comes in, clear fade out into next track; VG to VG+ You can bring your Dog: very minor surface noise at a couple spots, not distracting, hardly noticeable; more VG+ than VG.
Side B Mr. Bad Man: minor surface noise at lead-in wax, barely noticeable as music starts; VG+ Fat Slut: clear; VG+ to NM Girl Disappearing: a few quite pops here and there, minor surface noise at soft passages; VG to VG+ Secret Spell: clear; VG+ to NM Devils and Gods: clear; VG+ to NM Body and Soul: clear through-out, clear fade out to dead wax; VG+ to NM
Side C Father's Son: minor surface noise at lead-in wax, slightly audible during piano intro, hardly noticeable once vocals start, this is a delicate/soft song, not hearing anything distracting; VG to VG+ Programable Soda: mostly clear, very minor surface noise here or there, VG to VG+ but more VG+ Code Red: hint of surface noise at lead-in, otherwise clear until last few seconds with minor surface noise at fade out; strong VG+ Roosterspur Bridge: minor surface noise at lead-in first seconds; a hint now and then; VG to VG+ Beauty of Speed: clear lead-in, pretty clear through-out, minor noise at fade-out into dead wax; VG+
Side D Almost Rosy: clear lead-in, clear through-out, minor noise at fade-out; VG+ Velvet Revolution: clear lead-in, clear through-out; VG+ to NM Dark Side of the Sun: clear lead-in, hint of surface noise at end/fade-out; VG+ Posse Bonus: clear lead-in, clear through-out; VG+ to NM Smokey Joe: clear lead-in, clear through-out; VG+ to NM Dragon: minor surface noise at lead-in, first soft passages, not noticeable once piano starts, then minor surface noise at part near end, hint of surface noise at fade-out to dead wax; VG to VG+
Overall this tends to be a VG+ grade with some VG areas. Again, these records are brand new, played for the first time, this is just how they came from the factory/pressing conditions.
Overall this pressing sounds fantastic in terms of soundstage, depth, range and separation. Beautiful when played loud, even more depth and soundstage noticeable.
The cover has a minor ding on the upper left spine corner (see photo) and stress/wear - but not a seam split - on the top seams (see photo) so will grade the cover a strong VG+

I try to be meticulous and grade all my records based on Goldmine standards as noted below:

Mint (M) Vinyl

Absolutely perfect in every way. Certainly never been played, possibly even still sealed. Should be used sparingly as a grade, if at all.

Near Mint (NM or M-) Vinyl

A nearly perfect record. A NM or M- record has more than likely never been played, and the vinyl will play perfectly, with no imperfections during playback. Many dealers won't give a grade higher than this implying (perhaps correctly) that no record is ever truly perfect. The record should show no obvious signs of wear. A 45 RPM or EP sleeve should have no more than the most minor defects, such as any sign of slight handling. An LP cover should have no creases, folds, seam splits, cut-out holes, or other noticeable similar defects. The same should be true of any other inserts, such as posters, lyric sleeves, etc.

Very Good Plus(VG+) Vinyl

A Very Good Plus record will show some signs that it was played and otherwise handled by a previous owner who took good care of it. Defects should be more of a cosmetic nature, not affecting the actual playback as a whole. Record surfaces may show some signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experiences. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are "OK". The label may have some ring wear or discoloration, but it should be barely noticeable. Spindle marks may be present. Picture sleeves and inner sleeves will have some slight wear, slightly turned-up corners, or a slight seam split. An LP cover may have slight signs of wear, and may be marred by a cut-out hole, indentation, or cut corner. In general, if not for a couple of minor things wrong with it, this would be Near Mint.

Very Good (VG) Vinyl

Many of the defects found in a VG+ record will be more pronounced in a VG disc. Surface noise will be evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during a song's intro and fade, but will not overpower the music otherwise. Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as with light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound. Labels may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached. The same will be true of picture sleeves or LP covers. However, it will not have all of these problems at the same time. Goldmine price guides with more than one price will list Very Good as the lowest price.

Good (G), Good Plus (G+) Vinyl

A record in Good or Good Plus condition can be played through without skipping. But it will have significant surface noise, scratches, and visible groove wear. A cover or sleeve will have seam splits, especially at the bottom or on the spine. Tape, writing, ring wear, or other defects will be present. While the record will be playable without skipping, noticeable surface noise and "ticks" will almost certainly accompany the playback.
