For sale is a vinyl record by Creedence Clearwater Revival titled "Chronicle", originally released in 1976 by Fantasy Records as a double album with a gate-fold presentation, then reissued in 1983 with aqua-colored labels. In the dead wax between the labels and the last tracks is etched "GH" and an upper case "P", indicating that this record was mastered by George Horn at Fantasy Studios of Berkely, California before it was made at Columbia Records' pressing plant, located in Pitman, New Jersy. These are hallmarks of state-of-the-art engineering, sought after by collectors and music lovers for their superior sound qualities. I bought this used, and like all my albums, professionally cleaned the records on my VPI HW-17 machine and immediately put them away into two MFSL archival inner sleeves. This protects the integrity of the vinyl and any original inner sleeve(s) or insert(s) that may have come with the record. There are no original inner sleeves with this listing. The cover is graded as Excellent because of shelf rubs, corner blunts and faint ring wear. The spine has color loss at the corners from blunts. The two records are auto-coupled, meaning that Record One has Side One and Side Four, while Record Two has Sides Two and Three. The vinyl is visually graded as Near Mint, with surfaces that are shiny and bright, in a like-new condition, without any surfaces scratches, sleeve marks, scuffs, smudges or spindle marks on the labels. They look like they were just unwrapped. I'm play grading the records as Near Mint, without any surface noise, skips, lock-ups or pops from start to finish. Like all my records, it's been played on state-of-the-art audiophile equipment while I owned it. This is the best copy of this hard to find record that I have ever seen or heard and you would be hard pressed to find one in this condition, especially a Pitman pressing. I have other Rock and Roll records, as well as albums of all different genres in my Ebay store. Please take a look. They're predominately in Near Mint condition. Thank you for viewing my listing.
I've been collecting records for about 50 years now and have always cleaned them and put them away carefully in plastic inner sleeves. Over the years I've used Dust Bugs, Disc Washers and have finally invested in a professional VPI record cleaning machine. Now that I'm retiring, I'm selling my very esoteric collection. I'm not a professional grader of records, but will use record guides, as well as my personal experiences as a basis of my grading all records. Since grading is subjective, I will be conservative. I offer discounts for multiple sales. Photos are of the actual item for sale, not a stock photo. Please review all descriptions and photos because I do not accept returns. Thank you for looking!
