CONDITION:

I grade items visually.  I do my best to make a reasonable judgment on where an item falls.  I accept returns within 30 days if you have a concern about the condition of an item.  I do not play through most of the items unless I indicate otherwise. Assume that all items that are indicated as "used" could use a cleaning and are going to show some signs that they have been handled, light soiling etc.

GRADING GUIDELINES:

MINT - Only used for sealed LPs.

NM - Only the slightest signs of wear to LP and cover.

NMminus - I will sometimes use based on my judgment as an in between reading.

VG+ - Vinyl will have light scuffs or marks that don't appear will hinder playback. Cover will show light wear (small seam split, minor stain, minor ring-wear, minor tape, etc.)

VG - Vinyl will have visible, often mild surface wear that may result in some surface noise. Cover will have noticeable wear (ring-wear, light tape, minor tears, small seam splits, etc.)

VG- - Vinyl will have moderate to heavy scuffing that should cause no skips, but a fair amount of surface noise. Cover will have extensive wear (extensive tape and/or seam-splits, heavy ring-wear, water damage, tears, etc.).  Skips will sometime occur on records visually graded at this level.

G - Vinyl will have very heavy scuffing and some deep scratches. It might play with a skip or two. Cover will show major wear.

POOR - Vinyl is borderline unplayable. Expect possible skips and jumps. Cover will have major defects. I will normally not offer items that are worn to this level unless I believe someone would consider them to be special.  For example, a classical piece that someone may need just to fill in their collection or a relatively rare classic rock piece that is really beat up (like if I were to ever find a completely trashed Beatles butcher album cover.
