TOWNES VAN ZANDT For The Sake Of The Song POPPY PYS-40,001 1st U.S. pressing released in 1968.
This version has mislabeled songs on both the record labels and the back cover. "Talking Karate Blues" and "All Your Young Servants" are in the wrong order and mislabeled.
Milton Glaser art on front cover with cutout hole on bottom left hand side. This is the Stereo version.
1st pressing of Towne's 1st release. Many of these songs were subsequently redone by Townes because he felt the production was to heavy handed and distracted fro the songs.
VINYL in Near Mint condition, looks to be barely or ever played. I played the record all the way through and is super clean. Did not see any marks on the vinyl under bright light, no spindle wear, very clean!!!
COVER in VG+ with a cutout hole on bottom left hand corner. Some ring wear on front and back, corner bumps on bottom, corner wear on top. All seams are solid, top seam has some light chipping starting but is still solid, the spine is solid and fully readable.
No inner sleeve, record shipped out of sleeve in mo-fi sleeve to prevent splitting.
I charge for Media Mail shipping, but will pay the additional cost to ship Priority 2 day shipping for domestic buyers. International Priority shipping and Global Shipping offered.
