Thanks for Looking at my Auction
I am a 30 year record collector having spent ages 20-50, scouring record stores on a weekly basis. I stopped buying records around 5 years ago as I have amassed way too many records, if that is possible.
I have come to the reality that I never have the time to listen and enjoy all my records and like the old saying goes, you can’t take it with you.
I will be listing records each week, probably 6-8 a week. I try to inspect and take the time to review and grade my records. I use the Goldmine Grading Guide, however I try to err on the side of conversation grading.
I Ship USPS, mostly Media Mail , however if there is not a significant difference it may go First Class, if weight permits or Priority. If so, I will do so on my dime. You pay for Media.
I will try my best to inspect and grade my records as best as possible. For those new to vinyl, even though a record may be blemish free under light, records do have surface noise and pops and clicks. Back in the day we called it presence. I try to grade my records as best as possible, but I just don’t have the time to listen to all of them to hear if they have surface noise, or pops and clicks. Digital music has sort of spoiled us all in terms of quiet noise floor. If you are concerned over minor noise on records, streaming is always a great option.
I play all my records on a properly set up turntable which uses a Graham 2.2 tonearm set at 1.5 grams of stylus pressure.
I will ship all records as clean as possible and if needed I clean each side on my VPI HW17 record cleaner.
