PLEASE NOTE: I WILL
ONLY GRADE AN OPENED LP NEAR MINT (NM) IF I CAN GUARANTEE IT HAS NEVER
BEEN PLAYED (i.e. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER). OTHERWISE, NEAR MINT MINUS
(NM-) IS THE ABSOLUTE HIGHEST GRADE I WILL ASSIGN AN OPENED LP.
Big lot of Level 42 on vinyl!! Buying every item in this lot individually would cost $12.00 minimum in shipping ALONE so don't sleep.
1) Staring At The Sun LP - original Polydor pressing from 1988 with lyric inner sleeve. LP is a gorgeous VG++/NM- and cover VG+/VG++ with a hint of ring.
2) World Machine - original Polydor pressing from 1985. LP is a gorgeous near mint minus and cover is still in original shrink wrap. Sealed is the only way you will find a nicer copy. You will not be disappointed.
3) Running In The Family - original Polydor pressing from 1987 with lyric inner sleeve. LP is VG+/VG++ with a few barely visible paper scuffs and cover is a VERY nice VG a bit of ring. Auction also includes a pair of ULTRA RARE original rigid, two-sided, in-store 12" X 12" promotional displays put out by Polydor in 1987 with a glossy image of the album cover on the rear!!! I bought these from a former Tower Records manager here in Chicago who rescued them from the Tower wall for her own private collection (which was staggeringly impressive). She told me that 99% of these displays were either tossed after they were displayed or never displayed at all and then tossed. Tower staff saw them as disposable swag and clutter and as a result very few survived from the 1980s. Don't miss your chance. You won't see another lot like this again.
I USE GOLDMINE GRADING: MINT (SEALED)
NEAR MINT: LOOKS UNPLAYED VG++: VERY VERY MINIMAL SIGNS OF USE
VG+: AVERAGE SIGNS OF USE, NOTHING DEEP, SUPERFICIAL VG: STILL AN OK RECORD, NOISE BETWEEN SONGS
GOOD: WORN BUT PLAYS FINE WITH DISTRACTING NOISE POOR: FILLER COPY ONLY. LOTS OF SCRATCHES
