Collectors, here is a wonderful disc, Edison Diamond Disc 80643, circa 1912. The "L" side is the beloved "Silent Night", performed by Elizabeth Spencer, John Young, and Frederick Wheeler, using their sacred music pseudonyms "Anthony and Harrison", and orchestra. The "R" side is the song "Nazareth", performed by baritone Thomas Chalmers, with chorus and orchestra. These were recorded in 1912, the paper label means this record was sold sometime after 1921. Wonderful renditions of both songs, you will enjoy them a lot. The record plays well with some surface noise. The labels are firmly attached the record and there are no edge chips. A record you will cherish this Christmas Eve and for years to come, go for it!!
