For sale is a vinyl record by Arthur Fiedler conducting The Boston Pops Orchestra titled "In The Latin Flavor", originally released in 1956 by RCA Victor Red Seal Records. This is a first pressing with maroon/plum colored labels with "RCA VICTOR" in white along with a full bodied "Nipper", the RCA dog, underneath with dark shading behind him, commonly called a "Shaded Dog" pressing.  On the bottom is LONG 33 1/3 PLAY". Inside the dead wax between these labels and the last tracks is etched the matrix numbers 4-S/4-S, followed by a machine stamped upper case "I", indicating that early stampers were used to press this record at RCA Records' pressing plant located in Indianapolis, Indiana. These are hallmarks of state-of-the-art engineering, sought after by collectors and music lovers for their superior sound qualities. I bought this album used, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 machine and immediately put it into a MFSL archival inner sleeve. Doing this protects the integrity of the vinyl and any original inner sleeve that may have come with the release. There is no original inner sleeve with this listing. The cover is graded as Very Good Plus because of one corner blunt, faint ring wear and two small tears, both about 1/2", on the spine and on the front cover. The spine has a little damage at one corner from this blunt and a flap-tear by the bottom corner . The vinyl is visually graded as Excellent, with surfaces that are shiny and bright, but with superficial sleeve marks. There were no surface scratches, scuffs or spindle marks on the labels. I'm play grading this record between Very Good Plus and Excellent because of occasional ticking and super low levels of surface noise, most noticeable during the quietest sections of playback. It plays all the way through without any pops, skips or lock-ups from start to finish. This would make a great addition to anyone's collection. I have more Classical albums, as well as records of all genres, listed in my Ebay store. Please take a look. They're predominately in Near Mint condition. Thank you for viewing my listing.    I've been collecting records for about 50 years now and have always cleaned them and put them away carefully in plastic inner sleeves. Over the years I've used Dust Bugs, Disc Washers and have finally invested in a professional VPI record cleaning machine. Now that I'm retiring, I'm selling my very esoteric collection. I'm not a professional grader of records, but will use record guides, as well as my personal experiences as a basis of my grading all records. Since grading is subjective, I will be conservative. I offer discounts for multiple sales. Photos are of the actual item for sale, not a stock photo. Please review all descriptions and photos because I do not accept returns. Thank you for looking!
