The Kinks 'The Mono Collection' Sanctuary Records / BMG / ABKCO 33 RPM 10 LP set 180g Sealed NEW. This includes the Kink's first 8 LP releases in mono, plus a 2 LP Kinks compilation (aka the Black Album), with all analog mastering (and lacquers cut) by renowned mastering engineer Kevin Gray (KPG). Also includes a 48 page book of photos and interviews with the band. This is confirmed as the US version of the box set from the hype sticker text (has the text 'KINKSBOX003' at the bottom of the front hype sticker). More description from the release notes:
Rightly recognized as one of the most important and influential British groups of all time, the Kinks were never better than on their earliest albums, all of which are chronicled in astounding mono on The Mono Collection. Mastered from the original UK Pye NPL analog master tapes by Kevin Gray at Cohearent Audio, this deluxe 180g 10LP vinyl box set presents the Kinks' initial seven studio albums, Live at Kelvin Hall, and double-LP compilation The Kinks (aka The Black Album) in unsurpassed mono. The Mono Collection also comes complete with a lavish hardcover 48-page book comprised of never-before-seen photos and new interviews with Ray Davies, Dave Davies, and Mick Avory. The Mono Collection includes: Kinks (1964), Kinda Kinks (1965), The Kink Kontroversy (1965), Face To Face (1966), Something Else By The Kinks (1967), The Kinks Are the Village Green Preservation Society (1968) and Arthur (or The Decline and Fall of The British Empire) (1969), plus Live at Kelvin Hall (1967) and the bonus double LP compilation, The Kinks (aka The Black Album) (1970).
The box set is factory sealed and presumed mint. Both the record's box and factory sealed outer shrink are in great shape, I've included pics of all four corners and sides with the shrink intact except for one small opening in the shrink near one corner (see pic). Returns not accepted once opened.
This record will be extremely carefully wrapped and boxed. Record will be shipped insured in the US via Fedex Ground, shipping cost of $25.00 for the lower 48 US states, shipping elsewhere to be calculated at time of sale.
