Hi! You are bidding on Townes Van Zandt, the self-titled third album by the legendary Texas singer/songwriter. The album was released in 1978 by Tomato Records, catalog number TOM-7014. The record is in "worn" condition. It looks as though the previous owners let their infant children play with it. It has fine scratches all over the surface on both sides. It does play without skipping; however, the surface noise is a distraction, and there are a couple of noticeable pops on "For the Sake of the Song." The jacket is in slightly better condition. There are creases all around the edges, noticeable shelf wear, and a saw cut at the lower right. There is a price sticker in the upper right corner.
This album should only be purchased to fill a hole in your collection until a better copy comes along. I have put the album in a clear/paper sleeve. The scratchy Tomato Records sleeve is included.
Songs are:
SIDE ONE:
For the Sake of the Song Columbine Waiting Around to Die Don't Take It Too Bad Colorado Girl
SIDE TWO:
Lungs I'll Be Here in the Morning Fare Thee Well, Miss Carousel (Quicksilver Dreams of) Maria None But the Rain
The versions of songs which were on Townes' earlier albums are much less overproduced here. It's a pleasure to listen to them, even with all the surface noise.
Winning bidder to pay $3.82 media rate postage in the U.S. Personal cheque preferred; there is no holding period for cheques. Please e-mail with any questions.
Good luck, and thanks for looking!
