Beatles LP A Hard Day’s Night in Shrink Pink/Orange Label 3 Errors
1. Two different label styles. Side 1 has “The Beatles” in upper and lowercase letters, the phrase, “Original Motion Picture soundtrack” in small font, and the song titles center-justified. The Side 2 label has “THE BEATLES” in all caps, the phrase, “Original Motion Picture soundtrack” in large font, and the song titles left-justified. Entire Side 1 label has thinner font while entire Side 2 label has thick font.
2. Second song on Side 1 listed as “Tell Me Who.”
3. Back cover mistakenly switches the “Released Thru” and “Screenplay by” credits. "Released Thru Alun Owen," "Screenplay by United Artists." (See photo.)
Vinyl--- Not NM, but still a very good-looking piece of vinyl. A few stray and light scuffs, no scratches that you can feel.
Plates--- 6366-1/ 6366 2
Cover--- 95% of the cover still looks nearly brand new. There is a small area of water damage to the cover at the bottom right corner, translating into the bottom left corner on the back.Apart from that corner, the cover is muscular strong, bright colors, white, NO SPLITS.
Labels--- NM with the possible exception of what could be a spindle mark, very light and only seen when tilted toward a light source.
Inner Sleeve--- Beautiful original white inner sleeve with no die-cut hole for the label to show through. NM, perfectly flat, no wrinkles or splits. No water damage, as the LP was stored outside of the cover.
Note: All LP’s ship outside of their album covers in order not to damage the covers during shipment.
CAUTION! There has been a startling increase in bidders canceling their bids. A word to the wise, I have started blocking any and all bidders who retract their bids regardless of the reason.
Please don’t bid unless you’re willing to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!
(Please note: Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized. The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle. Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix? Thanks!)
As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up. Thanks!)
