JEANETTE

“CORAZON DE POETA”

MEGARARE and Hard-To-Find original RCA Victor Records very first PROMOTIONAL STEREO press released in Chile in 1981 by Sociedad Chilena De Ediciones Musicales SOCHEM M. R., distributed by EMI Odeon Chilena S.A. Records (EMI Records Chile), licensed from RCA S.A., Spain, with traditional black/silver labels and rare yellow “RCA Victor” and colored dog logo, catalog number 34104, original Spanish catalog number PL 35348, with hand etched matrix numbers PL 35 348 A-Z in Side A and PL 35 348 A-Y in Side B. It’s interesting to notice that in Chile this record kept the same Spanish catalog number, but in the matrix number of the deadwax in Side A, they did an error, because originally wrote “PL 35 348 B-Z” and then overwrote “A”, and in Side B they kept the same matrix number “PL 35 348 A-Y”. Yes, Sirs, ANOTHER FIND from Chile!!!

“CORAZON DE POETA” is the most successful album by Jeannette and we got it the same year it was released in Spain, 1981, and like many cases of that period with an UNIQUE COVER!!! The cover is a non-laminated flipback cover made with 2 single pieces of cardboard, with front cover pasted in the flips of back cover. Front cover keeps strictly the original Spanish artwork with album title and tracklist in Spanish only written with white lettering. Back cover also keeps the original Spanish artwork, but in Chile it’s light brown tinted (!!!). In labels each song has the credits for the songwriters with “VENTA PROHIBIDA – PROMOCIONAL” (Sale Forbidden – Promotional) written in both labels as you can see in the pictures!!! And you can also see the major print error in this Chilean press, it has informed the wrong sides!!! Yes, in labels the Side A plays the correct Side B and the Side B plays the Side A!!! So, here you have the chance to own this great album by Jeannette, with 10 songs which became a hit. How many albums do you know that had all the songs included becoming a hit? And this album is here for you with UNIQUE COVER, PROMOTIONAL LABELS and with UNIQUE ERRORS!!! WOW!!! A MUST TO HAVE for all fans, lovers and collectors of Jeannette and/or romantic Spanish singers of the ‘70’s!!!

The cover was already described and it’s in great VG or VG+ condition both the front and back covers, clean and clear, no missing parts, light creases, with some wear in edges and corners, no seam splits, little blemishes with some age browning and light ring marks and 4 songs marked in back cover with a “*” with blue pencil and the top right corner cut as a way to inform this record was given for promotion only to a radio station. The record is in superb VG or even VG+ condition, glossy and clean, but with loads and loads of soft scuffs and hairlines and many light scratches, which don’t affect sound at all. Labels on both sides are in NM- or NM condition, clean and clear, no writings, no marks of any kind, not even spindle hole wear. The sound is in strong VG or VG+ condition, loud and clear, but with a soft background noise (background noise was normal in most of records pressed in Chile) and constant light crackles, more evident in the silent parts between songs, which don’t distract at all from the great sound of this album. Overall a RARE record, not for Minty minds but sure in still a great condition, with a nice UNIQUE LIGHT BROWN TINTED BACK COVER, a very good look and a more than respectable sound quality after about 41 years, which shouldn’t disappoint anyone who knows the real level of rarity of this Chilean issue!!! And don’t forget the UNIQUE PROMOTIONAL LABELS and UNIQUE ERRORS!!! Yes Sirs, WHAT A FIND again!!! Click on the pictures to enlarge and see the labels and cover in detail. WOW!!!

Bid with confidence and don’t wait until the last second because you could lose the chance to get a real collectable record from Chile (South America) in superb condition like this copy is. You know South American records aren’t easy to get in good conditions, so HAPPY BIDDING and don’t let this record to go away… you could never see a so good copy of this record again… if you are lucky enough to see even another copy again…

Thanks for watching and bidding, good luck and best regards from Chile

We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

FEEDBACK

We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for. And we expect to receive a positive feedback from buyers who receive the records immediately after they have got the records.
